Chamomile is a popular herb known for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s commonly used to make tea, which has a mild, floral flavor and is often consumed to promote relaxation or to aid sleep. Chamomile comes primarily in two varieties:

  1. German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla): This is the most common type used in teas and herbal remedies. It’s an annual plant and grows up to 2 feet tall, featuring small, daisy-like flowers.
  2. Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile): A perennial variety, Roman chamomile is also used in teas and has similar properties to German chamomile, but its flavor is a bit more bitter.

In addition to its calming effects, chamomile is believed to help with digestive issues, reduce menstrual pain, and have antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It’s often found in skincare products, due to its soothing effects on the skin.
